Connecticut
RiverFest was formed in 1994 to celebrate the vibrant and
vital role of this region's rivers. We support efforts to
restore and maintain ecological integrity of the
Connecticut River watershed and encourage understanding
of its sustainable use.
Through education and celebration, Connecticut
RiverFest promotes the ecological, economic, and
aesthetic values of our rivers, and offers ways in which
people can work to preserve river environments as
resources and places of inspiration. We collaborate with
other environmental organizations, government agencies at
all levels, schools, businesses, community groups and
individuals to foster the sense of environmental
community.
